Index Calculations

  • Residential pricing is based on 1,000 kWh per month (12,000 kWh per year).
  • Rate data is collected from providers listed in the Choose Energy system; however not all rate plans are utilized in our calculations.
  • Data is collected on a daily basis and automatically published weekly.
  • Taxes and cancellation fees are not included in the calculations.
