Founded in 2002, Tara Energy was one of the first
electricity providers to offer competitive products and prices following the
deregulation of Texas’ electric markets. Since then, Houston-based Tara has
gained the support of loyal residential and commercial customers, including the
U.S. Department of Defense. In 2009, Tara Energy became a wholly-owned
subsidiary of Fulcrum Power Services.
Fulcrum Power Services, with its general partner
Fulcrum Energy LLC, manages the physical, financial and commercial energy
transactions and logistics for power generators (renewable and fossil fueled
assets), retail electricity providers (REPs), large consumers, and financial
entities. Fulcrum is currently managing over 4,000 MW of power generation
assets, including approximately 1,500 MW of renewable generation, across the
U.S. From forecasting and hedging to scheduling and dispatch, Fulcrum provides a
wide array of high-value energy management services.
Tara Energy offers residential customers a broad mix
of energy products. When homeowners switch to Tara, the process is seamless.
There are no new meters installed and electricity is delivered over the same
poles and wires as always.
