An Oklahoma City-based company has begun construction on a 100-mile natural gas gathering system that will stretch across the southeastern quadrant of the state, Tulsa World reported.
The system will also include a cryogenic processing plant with a capacity of 200 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. The plant is expected to be operational by the end of the year.
Wednesday’s announcement marks the start of the first major project by Valiant Midstream LLC, which was founded in July 2017.
The project is backed by Corterra Energy LLC and Canyon Creek Energy. Combined, the two companies have committed more than 1.8 million acres to the project.
