Atlantic City Electric energy rates
If, for whatever reason, you don't sign up with an independent energy supplier, Atlantic City Electric will continue to provide you “default” energy service. The rate for the “default” service is approved by your state’s public utility commissions. However, that rate is typically higher than what you can find if you shop around with independent suppliers.
Those in the Atlantic City Electric service area can check out the electricity plans available in their area.
Atlantic City Electric "Price to Compare"
These rates are your “Price to Compare.” You can use them as a comparison tool to help you decide whether you can save money by switching suppliers. If another supplier’s price per kilowatt hour is lower than the “Price to Compare,” you can save the difference per kilowatt hour by choosing that supplier. These rates include only the cost of producing the electricity, not the cost of delivering the electricity to you. The delivery costs will remain the same no matter who supplies your electricity.
To report power outages or downed power lines, you should call Atlantic City Electric’s customer service line at the number listed above.
