Peoples Gas "Price to Compare"

If, for whatever reason, you don't sign up with an independent energy supplier, you'll continue to receive “default” energy service from Peoples Gas. The rates for plan are approved by the Pennsylvania Public Utilities Commission, the government entity responsible for overseeing energy utilities. You can find the "default" rates below. The "default" rate is your “Price to Compare.” You can use it to make an apples-to-apples comparison between the “default” plan offered by your utility and those offered by energy suppliers. If another supplier’s price per Mcf is lower than the “Price to Compare,” you can save the difference by switching to that supplier. Customers on the default plan typically pay a higher rate for energy than those who shop around and sign up with an independent energy supplier.
