How does switching work?
Choose Energy makes it easy to switch to a deregulated energy plan. Simply enter your ZIP code above and we’ll show you great rates and plans from trusted retail suppliers in your area. Once you’ve picked a new plan and signed up with that provider, you’re done! Your deregulated supplier will contact your local utility to set up your new service. If you do experience any power interruptions, outages or other emergencies, contact your utility – not your supplier.
Who provides my electricity?
The only real change that happens with a deregulated energy plan is the price you pay for your monthly bill. Even after your new deregulated energy supplier sets up your electric or natural gas service, there won’t be any changes in your power delivery. Your utility will continue to deliver and maintain your home or business’s electricity.
- Retail supplier: Provides electricity or natural gas to the utility
- Local utility service: Delivers natural gas or electricity to Manchester customers
If you choose not to switch to a deregulated plan, your local Manchester utility will still provide power to your home or business. However, you will be charged the utility’s default rate, which is subject to change monthly and could be higher than deregulated alternatives. To find a deregulated rate in your area, enter your ZIP code above.
