Buffalo energy rates
Buffalo is the second most populous city in New York State, with 261,310 residents. The city’s high demand for affordable energy is due to winter temperatures that are below freezing and humid summers with temperatures reaching the high 80’s and low 90’s on occasion. Buffalo electricity rates run from 6.40 to 11.24 cents per kilowatt-hour while natural gas rates run from 41.90 to 76.40 cents per therm. These rates are usually lower in the last three months of the year and start getting higher in January.
